Their expertise is based on complex infrastructure projects in building, mining, oil and gas, petrochemical, power, transport, water and public infrastructure, and they have ongoing projects throughout the South East Asian region.

Senior QA/QC Engineer - Start immediately!

There an immediate requirement for a Senior QA/QC Engineer’s to work on a 2 year project in Indonesia, on the island of Karimum.

You will need to have experience in Senior QA/QC experience on major construction projects, preferably Marine and Civil. If you have worked on jetty, berthing, trestles, concrete works and roads, you’re your resume will be highly regarded.

The scope of works includes the;

• Development and implementation of the Quality management system for the Project
• Liaise with Engineers in performing the work inspections, tests and prepare daily QA/WC reports and inspection reports
• Manage and implement the Quality inspections and Engineering assistance for the construction of the civil works

Candidates will need to display;

• Experience working for a construction contractor
• Quality Assurance experience on marine and civil construction projects
• A good team player with a hands on attitude

As the QA/QC Engineer you will make part of the construction crew on the Karimun Island – about 1 hour from Batam.

This is a ‘hands on’ position so a pro-active attitude with a willingness to work hard is essential.

Welding Engineer - Steel and Piping Fabrication

There is currently an immediate requirement for a Welding Engineer to join the team on the Pipe Module Fabrication & Testing Project on Batam.

This is a long term and permanent opportunity with a reputable construction contractor who is known to provide good working conditions.

As the welding Engineer on site, your main duties will include, but not be limited to;

• Compile progress reports and update schedules
• Write and implement welding procedures for the Batam fabrication project
• Liaise with client representatives regarding welding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordination of deliveries
• Reviewing and checking QC related documents
• Monitoring and supervising of inspection activities to ensure compliance to relevant ITPs
• Performing field inspections as required
• Reviewing and maintaining quality procedures to ensure the requirements of the Project quality plan are met
• Participating in meetings with subcontractors and managing pre-inspection meeting prior of the start of any work
• Establishing and maintaining a good working relationship and communication with other site team members and subcontracting companies
• Health and safety compliance
• Implement QA/QC techniques.

Candidates will preferably have at least 5 years’ experience working on piping and steel fabrication and testing projects in fabrication yards. Your English written and verbal communication skills must be excellent.

Previous experience working on Batam will be highly advantageous.

Mechanical Project Engineer - Steel & Piping Fabrication

There is currently an immediate requirement for a Mechanical Project Engineer to join the team on the Pipe Module Fabrication & Testing Project on Batam.

As the project engineer on site, your main duties will include, but not be limited to;

• Handling all piping technical queries and investigating all field pipe work related problems, including the drawing of field sketches when necessary;
• Process material take-offs;
• Provide engineering support to the Project Managers;
• Write and implement proceedures on site;
• Organise project testing requirements;
• Compile progress reports and update schedules;
• Liaise with client representatives regarding technical queries, inspections, project scheduling and coordination of deliveries;
• Health and safety compliance; and
• Implement QA/QC techniques.

Candidates will preferably have experience in mechanical and structural fabrication and testing projects in fabrication yards. Previous experience working on Batam will be highly advantageous.

The sorts of experience we are looking for include, but are not limited to;

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 5+ year’s in a project engineering capacity
• Previous responsibilities in writing and implementing proceedures
• Experience in fabrication
• Experience working on site.
• You will be rquried to write and implement proceedures on site so your written and verbal english communicatoin skills MUST be excellent.
